Changes

What changed in this API, newest first — breaking changes marked as such.

Changes to the MCP server and to this documentation. Newest first. Anything that can break a working integration is marked breaking.

October 2026

  • Corrected, not changed: create_composition never cost credits. This documentation said it cost "a language-model plan plus speech synthesis". Nothing was ever deducted for it — the plan is only measured, and the speech in the assembly has no deduction. The tool description in the API was corrected first; this page followed.
  • Corrected: aspect_ratio accepts 9:16 only. This page listed 16:9 as a valid value. The API has always rejected it. Landscape reels are planned, not available.
  • get_asset fails when a file carries no C2PA signature, instead of handing out an unsigned download. Elsewhere in Ikrames a signing failure is logged and the render continues; over this API it is not, because here the file leaves the building.

September 2026

  • The MCP server went live with seven tools: list_brands, list_leads, get_lead, get_costs, get_asset, generate_image, create_composition.
  • Keys carry a scope: read or generate. See Authentication and scopes.

How we handle breaking changes

The protocol version is pinned per request (Mcp-Protocol-Version). A change that would break a working integration gets a new tool or a new argument, not a changed meaning for an existing one. If that is ever unavoidable, it is announced here first and marked breaking.
