Plans & credits

How Ikrames plans and credits work — what spends credits, where they come from, and when they expire.

Ikrames runs on two things: a plan (your subscription level) and credits (what you spend to generate content). Rendering reels and clips doesn't spend credits; it counts against monthly minutes that come with your plan.

Plans

There's a free plan and a ladder of paid plans — Creator, Pro, Studio, and Studio+. Moving up a plan generally means a larger monthly credit allowance, more render and source minutes, access to higher-quality models, and room for more brands.

For what each plan includes and its current price, see the pricing page — that's the authoritative source. We don't restate plan limits here because they can change; the app and pricing page always show the current ones.

What a paid plan unlocks

Three things are not a matter of allowance but of plan — they are off below a certain level, however many credits you hold:

Unlocked from
Publishing — connecting a social account, publishing, schedulingCreator
Reels — creating, rendering, and dubbing themPro
Render and source minutes — what rendering reels and clips counts againstPro (Free and Creator include none)

Everything else — carousels, images, scripts, planning, the brand voice, Aurea — works on every plan and is paid for out of your credits.

A rendered carousel carries a small mark in its top-right corner, and which one depends on your plan:

  • On the free plan it reads made with ikrames.com.
  • From Creator upwards that credit is gone. In its place Ikrames puts your own wordmark — if you've set one under Brand Settings ▸ Visual. Without a wordmark, a paid carousel carries no mark at all.

What spends credits

Credits are spent on the work Ikrames does for you — mainly:

  • Generating content (writing scripts, producing voice and avatars, generating B-roll, images, and video),
  • an assistant turn when Aurea does something for you.

A single reel can be several charges — creating it and each generated B-roll scene are charged separately. You're always shown the amount before you confirm, and a job won't start if you can't cover it.

Rendering doesn't spend credits. Two monthly allowances that come with your plan cover it instead: render minutes count the length of each finished reel or clip you render, and source minutes count the length of each long video you have clips cut from. Both are included from the Pro plan; Free and Creator include none. Both start over on the 1st of each calendar month (German time), a failed render gets its minutes back, and minutes can't be bought with credits. Settings ▸ Usage shows how many of each you have used this month. Rendering a carousel and publishing or scheduling a post cost neither credits nor minutes.

Where credits come from

  • A one-time starter grant when your workspace is created and your email address is verified.
  • An allowance from a paid plan, credited for each billing period.
  • Top-ups you buy anytime.

Your current balance is always in the sidebar footer.

When credits expire

Your balance is one number, made of three kinds of credits:

  • Gifted credits (the starter grant, promotions) expire 30 days after they are credited.
  • Subscription credits expire at the end of the billing period they were credited for: the month on a monthly plan, the twelve months on a yearly plan. Each new period starts with a fresh allowance.
  • Purchased credits (top-ups) do not expire while your account exists, also after a subscription ends.

Credits that expire soonest are spent first: gifted, then subscription, then purchased. Below your balance, the app shows what expires next and on which date. See do my credits expire? for the details.
